We designed a 1200-drone sequence representing the tower's architectural lattice, transition structures, and a spinning 3D globe, fully exported in a proprietary drone swarm format.
Executive Summary
For the grand unveiling of a landmark residential tower in Dubai, we designed an ambitious 1200-drone show choreography. The core creative challenge was to construct a life-size 3D wireframe of the building’s architectural crown in the sky, transitioning into a rotating globe showing the developer’s global offices.
Due to strict corporate confidentiality, the client identity is kept anonymous, but the technical and choreography files were successfully flown by the operator.
Technical Challenge
A 1200-drone swarm operates with high aerodynamic density. Designing safe coordinate transitions for a fleet of this scale requires careful planning of ascent pathways and deceleration blocks. Drones at the core of the building wireframe had to remain static, while outer nodes morph around them to prevent rotor turbulence from destabilizing the flight.
Choreographed Solution
Our design team constructed the tower wireframe directly from CAD assets provided under NDA. By grouping the 1200 drones into separate layers, we enabled dynamic, nested transitions where inner elements faded down while outer shells morphed into new shapes.
The color theme was luxury gold and deep cyan, utilizing dual-frequency strobe flashes. The completed binary telemetry files were checked and verified safe for delivery to the local flight operations crew.
